This is an online workshop, which will use prompts and mark-making techniques to create a series of experimental drawings.
This is for all drawing abilities ... it's even for those who think they can't draw. The goal of this workshop is to let go of how you think you draw and make marks based on how the sounds make you feel.
We will listen to sounds together, each time making a quick and instinctive drawing.
We will layer each new drawing over the previous, to create a layered final composition. Similar to blind contour drawing.
Feel free to use whatever you have to hand – pens, markers, highlighters, coffee or even lippy.
In this workshop you will draw what you can hear and feel from listening to sound clips. Drawing isn't always about accurately depicting a real-life thing or person. Take advantage of this isolation to lose your inhibitions and interpret your audio senses visually through drawing.
