Nancy originally trained at St Martins School of Art (now Central St Martins) and worked for a number of years as a fashion designer both in the UK and Finland, before turning to PR, marketing and publishing.
She rediscovered textile art in the late 1980s and subsequently 'fell in love' with felting - the rich diversity of colours and intermixes possible. Nancy makes and sells everything from bridal bouquets to biodegradable urns for cremation ashes (www.wellurnedrest.com, https://www.facebook.com/wellurnedrest) as well as gifts for the home and fashion accessories.
Nancy's teaching style is informal and 'chatty'. Her instruction packs - called Workshops in a Wallet - include lots of informative pictures and plenty of instruction. She is also available by email and on the phone for guidance and contact details for this are included in each pack.
In answer to the Coronavirus lock-down, Nancy now adds the materials and all the fibres needed so you can start learning as soon as your pack arrives - just add a suitable work-surface, towel and soapy water! Colour choices are also offered for all but one Wallet, which is a multi-colour pack.
